Apple is planning to unveil a new phone with a curved screen in the next few weeks, according to a report from MacRumors.
This will come in the form of the Galaxy S6, but the new phone will reportedly be made with a glass display, the same design as the one found on the iPhone 7 Plus.
The report, citing a source familiar with the matter, said that Apple will introduce a curved Galaxy S7 phone in the coming weeks.
Apple will likely make the new device a limited edition of 100 units and that Apple would sell the device for $299.
The device will be powered by a new “Galaxy S7” processor, the report said.
The new phone would be the first Apple device to feature a curved display, and the new Galaxy S line will be Apple’s biggest device launch since the iPhone 6s.
The phone is expected to come in two sizes, which Apple will make available separately.
The larger size would be more expensive than the smaller size, the MacRumor report said, but it would offer similar specifications, including a 5.7-inch 1080p display, 32GB of storage, 3GB of RAM and a 13MP camera.
The iPhone 7s Plus was rumored to come with a 5-inch curved display as well.
The rumor also said that the phone will have a curved fingerprint scanner and that the new iPhone will have Apple’s new “glass” technology that it uses for its iPhones.
It will also come with an 8MP camera on the front of the phone, and it will come with two bands for charging, according the report.
Apple will be launching a new smartphone in early 2018, according a source close to the matter.
The source also said Apple will release the Galaxy Note 7 smartphone in March.
Apple is set to introduce a new model of the iPhone that will use the glass display on the Galaxy A7, the source said.
The new iPhone should come with its own camera, too, but that may be a temporary solution, according MacRumorgors.
The company is expected release a new iPhone next year, and then a second model that would have a “glass body” like the iPhone 8.
