Posted October 08, 2018 09:50:03A recent video of a man in a Batman mask standing in front of a repair shop in California is getting a lot of attention, but the real question is why.
“Batman mask or no, I have been doing business in the Bay Area for a while,” the masked man, who went by the name of Steve, told ABC7 News.
“I started out as a janitor for a gas station in Santa Clara.”
Steve was also seen at a repair store earlier this month in San Francisco.
He said he was there to repair a damaged air conditioner, but he was not wearing the mask.
“I think people are getting a little tired of the constant bad reviews, so I am here to do what needs to be done,” Steve said.
“There’s a lot going on in the world right now,” Steve added.
“We are being attacked by people all over the world, and I think it’s a little overhyped.”
As of Tuesday afternoon, Steve had received more than 3,200 reviews on Amazon.com.
One review said he is “very good at repairing things.”
Another said he can “repair anything and everything.”
“It’s amazing what a great customer service person you can be,” he added.
The video is not the first time the mask has been a hot topic.
A video of another masked man wearing a Batman costume was posted to YouTube earlier this year.
In that video, he also showed off his ability to fix the air conditioners of his garage.
